Millions of people are affected by candidiasis (Yeast Infection) every year. The itching, burning and odor associated with it can cause severe discomfort.

If you watch any amount of T.V., then you have in all likelihood seen the advertising for products which are supposed to cure the problem. These products are sold in different forms such as creams and suppositories.

What these commercials leave out are the facts that women are not the only people who can get yeast infections. Not only do men get yeast infections on their sexual organs, but studies have shown that almost 90% of the population have the fungus within their bodies. Beside the sexual organs of men and women, many people have yeast in their intestines. Most healthy people will never have an issue with yeast infections, as their immune systems keep it in check.

While following the package directions for these products will provide temporary relief, the fact is that they are far from being a cure. In order to truly free yourself from yeast, you will have to make some lifestyle changes.

More complex issues can be indicated by yeast infections. Curing the root cause will usually take care of the candida overrun, but completely getting rid of it can prove very difficult. Yet, it is possible.

Health issues which can lead to candidiasis can vary from person to person. However, some of the more common issues that are linked to candidiasis are:

* Hormonal Disruptions

* Immune Deficiency

* Excessive Glucose

Again, correcting these problems will go a long way toward eliminating excessive yeast in your body.

I would recommend that you see your doctor and ask him or her to work with you in finding the root cause of your yeast infection. Taking care of your health with changes in your diet and exercise is always an excellent idea.

Taking good care of yourself by eating the right foods and doing the right things are one holistic approach to freeing yourself from the discomfort and health issues associated with yeast infection.
