The runners high is a myth. Most people say it is formed by endorphins which are released when the body reaches an exhaustive date. Mentally this high state is filled with feelings of euphoria and an intense pleasurable feeling. Most people equate this to sex and having an orgasm.

This applies to the runners high. You only know you had a runners’ high immediately after the run and never during the run. The reason for the runners high is due to the absence of the ego or intellect.
So to get this state you need to find ways to forget the ego. There is a contradiction in itself because the very act of forgetting the ego needs an ego. There has to be a forgetter who wants to forget.
